$5 REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Must be registered prior to first day of racing. 

$10 per individual race-day entry

$150/ Season per TEAM

Valid Snowbowl lift ticket or season pass required for participation.

SCORING 

Individuals

Points awarded weekly (20 for 1st, 19 for 2nd, etc.)

Season champions = top cumulative male & female

Weekly top 3 recognized; finale awards presented at après

Teams

Weekly score = top 3 racers, must include 1 female

Cumulative season score determines champions

Weekly top 3 recognized; finale awards for up to 8 members

FORMAT

Team: $150 for the season

Teams may add up to 8 members; only 4 may race per event

Team name required (fun but not vulgar)

Team members also earn individual points

*ALL TEAM PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED PRIOR

Once all members of the team have registered with FSST send an email to director@flagstaffskiclub.org with the team name and participant names.

RACE DAY INFO

Limited to 50 racers (first come, first served)

Armband Pickup: 3:00 PM at top of RACE COURSE (look for Flagstaff Ski & Snowboard Team staff & volunteers)

Special lift access on Sunset Chair from 4 - 5PM for ARMBANDS ONLY

Inspection & Practice

3–4 PM: inspection/free practice (no full-speed runs)

Timed Runs

4–5 PM: timed racing

At least 1 official run per racer

Best time counts

DNF/DQ count as a run

Reruns granted only for interference on a case by case basis

Arm Bands -

Giant Slalom is the perfect blend of speed and rhythm. Racers navigate a series of widely spaced gates that encourage smooth, carving turns and a natural, flowing line down the course.

For Adult League, our GS course is designed to be fun, approachable, and confidence-building — whether you're brand new to racing or looking to relive your glory days. The emphasis is on:

• Big, round turns
• Controlled speed
• Clean arcs
• Friendly competition

It’s all about challenging yourself, improving each week, and sharing a few laughs (and maybe a beverage) afterward. No spandex required — just bring your skis, your competitive spirit, and a willingness to have fun.
