ABOUT FLAGSTAFF SKI & SNOWBOARD TEAM
Since 1967, the Flagstaff Ski & Snowboard Team has trained thousands of Arizona junior athletes, from talented amateurs to Junior Olympians. We train at the Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff, AZ. The Flagstaff Alpine Ski Team (FAST) competes in the US Ski & Snowboard Southern Series of the Rocky Mountain Division of the Rocky-Central Alpine Region. The Grand Canyon Freeride Team (GCFT) competes in the USASA Grand Canyon Series. Today FAST and GCFT train over 180 dedicated junior athletes from ages 6 to 19 by more than 25 professional coaches on Arizona’s only junior alpine athletic team.
The Flagstaff Ski & Snowboard Team is more than just a team. It is a family of highly-dedicated coaches, parents and junior athletes. Our junior athletes are taught the skills and techniques of advanced and competitive skiing and snowboarding, and perhaps more importantly, the virtues and values of respect, cooperation, endurance and a deep appreciation of the outdoors. These are qualities that will define them forever. Our mission is to help families develop extraordinary human beings through our junior alpine sports programs.
The goal of our teams is to teach youth athletes all-mountain awareness and safety while advancing their ski or snowboard skills and HAVING FUN! We utilize the US Ski & Snowboard SkillsQuest curriculum. Numerous coaches are Level 100, 200, and 300 US Ski & Snowboard certified. Our coaches are passionate about winter sports, fun, and teaching our athletes. Many of our coaches grew up on the team themselves!
Flagstaff Ski Club, Inc. dba Flagstaff Ski & Snowboard Team is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) non-profit entity.
